The club kindly allowed me to race against the dinghies this year which has been great but it would be good to meet up with some of you on those windier days. I spend most of the time messing around with the web cam and weather station but can occasionally be found out on the water with Kev and Ash. I have been trying to come up with excuses as to why it's now too cold to go windsurfing but thanks to some rather excellent presents from my wife and friends, I may well still be out there in December. - garyth

I've visited and passed your sailing club before and wondered what the windsurfing was like. It's great you have a webcam - that is something that Loch Lomond and The Clyde Estuary are missing. I'd like to try out your water some day and cruise up from Helensburgh. - Jano
Hi, I'm the "local-foreign" windsurfer :D :D what I mean is that I'm originally from Slovakia but I live near Venachar for almost 3 years and I joined the club just in august of 2008 and it's great to windsurf here :) I just hope that I'll have guts to sail during winter as well :D:D - Andy Gee

Hi All, Grew up dinghy sailing on Loch Venachar as I'm from Callander. Now live & work in Dunoon on the West Coast and have been windsurfing the last few years. My family still live in Callander so may drop by sometime if it's blowing a hooly from the West! - Andrew Ross

I normally windsurf at Loch Lomond but have been unable to windsurf anywhere recently due to anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery. I just got the go ahead yesterday from physio to give windsurfing a go again so am keen to get out at loch venachar whenever the wind is blowing in the right direction. I am particularly keen on using it in the winter as Loch Lomond is sometimes a bit too forbidding and the idea of sheltering in the club house during the lulls is very appealing. - Ash
Andrew Loch Venachar is definitely a good place for a beginner. A lot of light wind days, a gently sloping shore, smallish sailing area and safetly boat cover most weekends. And the club itslef is friendly too. - Iain Graydon
I have windurfed on and off for years (started in 1988). Since joining LVSC in 2005 I have sailed for the most part but have started to edge back into windsurfing. I have a Tiga 150 and a Starboard Carve 135 with a range of rigs. - John Couper
